Platform Terms of Service & Safety Covenant
Effective Date: January 1, 2026 • Applicable across Pakistan • Version 2.5
1. Platform Purpose & Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Home Tuition Provider ("the Platform"), Pakistan's premier educational network connecting certified home tutors, subject specialists, and parents/students across Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, and all surrounding regions. By creating an account, browsing listings, or using our messaging system, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in full.
The Platform functions strictly as a directory and safe communication bridge. We provide tools to help parents discover verified educators and enable educators to offer academic guidance in accordance with local laws.
2. Registration Integrity & Single Account Policy
To ensure trust, safety, and transparency across our educational community, all registered members must adhere to strict identity standards:
- Single Account Policy: Each individual user is entitled to only one active account. Registering duplicate or redundant accounts using multiple emails or multiple identity documents is strictly prohibited.
- Unique Email & Identification: Registration requires a unique, verifiable email address and a valid National Identity Card (CNIC / Smart Card / B-Form) number. Our database enforces strict uniqueness constraints to prevent duplicate or deceptive profiles.
- Truthful Credentials: Users must submit accurate, authentic information regarding academic degrees, certifications, teaching experience, and location. Impersonation of another person or falsification of academic credentials will result in immediate permanent expulsion.
3. CNIC & Personal Data Confidentiality Guarantee
We deeply respect user privacy and adhere to stringent data protection standards:
- CNIC Privacy by Default: Your CNIC (National Identity Card Number) is collected solely for security, authentication, and platform integrity. It is strictly hidden by default from all other users, tutors, parents, and visitors.
- Confidential Storage: CNIC numbers are never displayed on public search pages, tutor cards, or parent inquiries. Only authorized platform administrators have access to verify credentials in accordance with legal and security compliance.
- Contact Privacy: Contact phone numbers, email addresses, and specific residential locations are protected under role-based access rules and are never disclosed to unverified visitors.
4. Role-Based Search & Category Access Safeguards
To preserve professional boundaries, prevent commercial poaching, and protect family privacy, the Platform enforces three fundamental behavioral access rules:
Rule A: Guest Privacy Protection
Unregistered visitors and guests can search tutors and parents by city, class, and subject, but public results only show the member's registered name, city, mode, and subjects. All contact details, CNIC, and messaging capabilities remain locked until registration and login.
Rule B: Tutors Cannot Search Tutors
Registered Tutors are authorized to search and view Parent tuition requests and submit inquiries. Under no circumstances may a Tutor search for, browse, or contact other Tutors. This prevents unfair solicitation, rate undercutting, and competitor harassment.
Rule C: Parents Cannot Search Parents
Registered Parents and Students are authorized to search, review, and message qualified Tutors. Parents are strictly barred from searching or viewing other Parents' listings to safeguard family privacy, children's locations, and domestic discretion.
5. Zero Tolerance Policy: Anti-Harassment & Misconduct Reporting
The safety and dignity of tutors, parents, and students is our paramount priority. We maintain a strict Zero Tolerance Policy for:
- Any form of verbal, psychological, sexual, or physical harassment.
- Inappropriate, vulgar, offensive, or sexually suggestive messages, inquiries, or gestures.
- Unwanted personal contact, stalking, intimidation, extortion, or blackmail.
- Commercial spamming, unsolicited promotional broadcast, or fraudulent schemes.
6. Administrative Authority, Disciplinary Suspensions & Appeal Process
The Platform Administrator holds full discretion to investigate reported violations and enforce disciplinary actions:
- Custom Disciplinary Suspensions: If a user is reported or found engaging in misconduct, harassment, or unlawful behavior, the administrator may disable the account temporarily for a custom specified duration (e.g., 7 days, 30 days, or a specific calendar date) or permanently.
- Suspension Notification: Upon logging in, a suspended user is greeted with a clear notice detailing that their account has been disabled and displaying the exact date until which the suspension remains in effect.
- Restricted Access & Right to Appeal: A suspended user is blocked from searching, browsing listings, viewing profiles, or messaging parents/tutors. The suspended user is permitted only to message the Platform Administrator to submit an appeal, provide clarification, or request review of the disciplinary measure.
7. Confidential & Immutable 1-on-1 Direct Messaging
Direct communication on Home Tuition Provider is designed for security and integrity:
- Complete Privacy: Messages exchanged between a Tutor and a Parent are strictly confidential and visible only to the participating sender and recipient. No other tutors or parents can ever view these communications.
- Message Immutability: Once transmitted, a message cannot be edited or altered. This guarantees an immutable, authentic record of agreed tuition terms, fee discussions, and inquiries.
- Anti-Spam Controls: To prevent harassment and automated messaging abuse, all direct chats are protected by automatic rate-limiting safeguards (maximum 5 messages per minute).
8. Tuition Agreements, Slot Booking & Hiring Framework
The platform provides a structured, verifiable mechanism for initiating and managing tuition engagements:
- Hiring Requests: A registered Parent can initiate a hiring request directly from a Tutor's profile by selecting a suitable available time slot, subject, agreed rate, and specific date range (From Date to To Date).
- Tutor Approval Workflow: The Tutor receives an instant notification of the pending request and has the option to Approve or Decline. Upon approval, the agreement status transitions to Active.
- Slot Occupancy: When an agreement is activated, that specific time slot is reserved for the Parent, directly updating the Tutor's public slot capacity (e.g., filled slots out of total available slots).
- Partner Association: Approved agreements automatically place the Hired Tutor into the Parent's active tuition dashboard, and the Hired Parent/Student into the Tutor's active engagements dashboard.
9. Agreement Lifecycle: Completion & Abort Rights
Both Tutors and Parents retain full autonomy over their academic partnerships:
- Completion of Tuition: Either party may mark an ongoing tuition as Completed upon successful academic conclusion.
- Aborting / Discontinuing Tuition: If either party needs to terminate the arrangement prematurely due to relocation, schedule conflict, or dissatisfaction, they may Abort the agreement with an explanatory reason.
- Slot Release: Upon completion or abort of an agreement, the booked time slot is immediately released and returned to the Tutor's available capacity for new students.
10. Gated Mutual Rating & Review Policy
To eliminate fake, unverified, or retaliatory ratings and guarantee 100% trustworthy academic reputations, the Platform enforces strict review gating:
- Strict Concluded Agreement Prerequisite: Ratings (1 to 5 stars) and feedback can ONLY be submitted once a formal tuition agreement between that Parent and Tutor has reached Completed or Aborted status. Arbitrary reviews without confirmed tuition engagements are disallowed.
- Mutual Evaluation & Subject-Wise Ratings: Both Parents and Tutors have the right to evaluate each other. Parents review tutors on conceptual clarity, subject mastery, and punctuality. Tutors review parents and students on study dedication, cooperation, and timely fee arrangements.
- Public Profile Rank: Mutual star ratings and total review counts directly determine the member's public rank, displayed prominently alongside their profile picture and search cards across the platform.
11. In-Home Tuition Safety Advisory & Disclaimer
While the Platform requires authentic identity verification during registration, parents and tutors must exercise sensible precautions for in-home learning:
- Guardian Due Diligence: Parents and guardians are strongly advised to inspect the tutor's original degree certificates and physical CNIC card at the initial introductory session.
- Safe Environment: In-home tuition sessions should take place in open, well-lit family study areas or rooms where parents and guardians have regular visibility.
- Independent Engagements: Home Tuition Provider is an independent facilitation platform and is not an employer or agent of any tutor. Tuition contracts, schedules, fee disbursements, and teaching methods are mutually agreed directly between the parent and the tutor.
12. Operational Sponsorships & Platform Maintenance
To keep platform registration, directory search, and messaging accessible to families and educators across Pakistan, the Platform may display clean, clearly marked sponsored advertisements. All advertisements are kept distinct from educational directory listings.
